Introduction : Laparoscopic anatomical liver resection still presents a major technical difficulties. During laparoscopic hepatectomy, deeper parechyma and hepatic vein transection still present a major technical difficulty point. The hanging method has the advantages of less intraoperative bleeding, and better oncolofical outcomes. Here, we review our experience with laparoscopic anatomical liver transection by using haning method.
Methods : From September 2015 to January 2018, 71 hepatectomy was perforemed by laparoscopy system in division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Hallym Sacred Heart hospital.
Results : The mean age was 56.00 years, mean operation times :205.42 min, mean blood loss : 700 ml. The mean hospital stay was 10.67 days. The mean tumor size was 3.4 cm. All resection margin was negative. Conversion rate was 8.33%(only one case). Overall morbidity was 8.33 % and overall mortality rate was 0%.
Conclusions : Laparoscopic anatomical liver resection by using haning method appears to be both feasible and safe. The results of current study showthe results in terms of early recovery period. Although, our experience shows that oncologic outcomes are acceptable in terms of margin and early recurrence, further study to evaluate for long-term safety is needed.
