[P130] Laparoscopic removal of residual pancreatic tissue after distal pancreatectomy

Introduction : Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm (SPT) of pancreas occurs predominantly in young woman with abdominal mass and discomfort.

Methods : Hear in, we described remnant pancreatic tissue masquerading of postoperative abscess after the distal pancreatectomy for SPT.

Results : Initially, A 21 year old female patient, with no prior medical history, was underwent distal pancreatectomy for huge SPT. She was discharged uneventfully POD#7. One month after the initial operation, she was readmitted for PCD drainage because of subphrenic abscess. After 3th readmission, we decided a reoperation.

Conclusions : The patient was placed in right lateral decubitus position and laparoscopic removal of residual tissue with abscess in subphrenic area. The histological analysis of specimen suggested remnant pancreas with splenic tissue. She was discharged on the 6th post-operative day with uneventfully.
