Introduction : In this study, we report our initial experience with robotic cholecystectomy.

Methods : A retrospective review of robotic cholecystectomy cases performed from September 2017 to January 2018.

Results : Total cumulative cases are ten; with the median age of 48 years (range 26–64). Most common etiologies were gallbladder stone (8 patients); 1 case was adenomyomatosis, and 1 case was a polyp. Median operative time was 83.3 min (range 65-114); median docking time was 11.8 min (range 5-30). There were no conversions to open surgery and no transfusion needed. The median length of hospital stay was 5.4 days (range 4-10). There was no complication except one case of wound infection.

Conclusions : Robotic cholecystectomy is also feasible treatment option with inherent advantages of minimally invasive surgery, however with a limitation of higher operative cost.
