Introduction : Hepatic resection is the best exemined treatment known to provide long-term survay in hepatobiliary pathologies for long years. Different techniques have been developed to decrease the blood loss during hepatic resection. The radiofrequency ablation (RF) technique has been widely used in the treatment in hepatobiliary pathologies. The aim of this study was to review our clinical experience with the radiofrequency ablation (RF) technique in hepatobiliary pathologies.

Methods : We evaulated the data of 14 patients who had operated in our clinic with hepatobiliary pathologies between February 2013 to June 2014. In this study the demographic characteristics of patients, length of stay, applied operations, complications were collected retrospectively

Results : According to the postoperative outcomes, postoperative 3 th day drainage was none for any leakage. Of 2 patients were transfused blood due to hemorrhage after the operation, Of 1 patient underwent second look in our cases. There were no additional complications.Mean hospital length of stay was 5.4 day (range 4 to 13 ).

Conclusions : Liver resection assisted by radiofrequency ablation (RF) technique is safe and feasible method in liver surgery due to minimize blood loss.We think that techniques in hepatic surgery will be more reliable and easy in the future
